CAS NO. : 120068-37-3 pure product is white solid, melting point 200-201 °C, density 1.477-1.626(20 °C) . Vapor pressure 3.710-7 PA (20 °C) , partition coefficient (25 °C) LOGP = 4.0. Solubility in water (20 °C, MG/L)1.9(distilled water) , 1.9(PH = 5) , 2.4(Ph = 9) ; solubility in other solvents (20 °C, g/l) : Acetone 545.9, dichloromethane 22.3, Toluene 3.0, Hexane & Lt; 0.028. It is stable in water of PH = 5 and 7, hydrolyzed slowly at Ph = 9, DT50 is about 28 days, and degraded slowly under sunlight, but it can decompose rapidly in aqueous solution under illumination.

Fipronil acts as an inhibitor of GABA-chloride ion channels and has no cross-resistance with existing insecticides, it has a good control effect on the pests that have already developed resistance or sensitivity to Organophosphorus, organochlorine, Carbamate, pyrethroid and other insecticides. The suitable crops are rice, corn, cotton, banana, sugar beet, potato, peanut and so on. At the same time to the hygiene pest cockroach control also has the extraordinary effect, such as 2% shennong kill cockroach bait, 1.1% haiyun kill cockroach bait.
